Marla Meyers, MSW

Marla began her career in Hillel in 1990 as an M.S.W. student at Rutgers University.  After working at Rutgers Hillel for a year, she came to Hillel of Greater Philadelphia where she served as Program Director, Associate Director, and then Director of H.I.P. (Hillel in Philadelphia).  In 2003, she accepted the position of Director of Institutional Advancement for Hillel of Greater Philadelphia spearheading the advancement and development program for the Philadelphia region and was recently promoted to Associate Executive Director.  During her tenure with Hillel, she has served as a board member for the Tri-State Jewish Communal Professionals Association, national Jewish Campus Service Corps coordinator leading efforts for the J.C.S.C. supervisors, has developed curriculum for commuter professionals, has served as a Steinhardt scholars mentor, and has been involved in numerous national initiatives.   In addition, Marla is active in her local Jewish Federation as a leader and volunteer and is a member of Board of Directors of the Katz JCC in Cherry Hill.   A “Hillel Director” at heart, she still loves to hang with the students whenever possible and often misses those long Friday afternoons spent cooking Shabbat dinner in the Temple University Hillel kitchen.  Equal to her passion for college students, is her love for her children Jordan and Josh as well as her husband, Dan.
